A junior phenom from Fabiano Gaudio’s social project in Cascadura, Fabiana Borges collected a Brazilian National title and a World Title before even reaching black belt, earning her coral belt in 2007 on the same day she won her sixth national championship. She crossed over to the United States in 2008, won the Nogi Pan American, and eventually settled in Washington State with Miriam Cardoso before joining Gracie Barra’s American team under Marcio Feitosa in 2010.
