About
Hashem started his martial arts journey in the mid 1970's with Tang-Hup Mu Doo Kwan in England. After seeing a documentary about Jean Jacques Machado and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1999, he began training under Marcelo Grosso (De La Riva black belt). He continued training with Chris Malgeri in no-gi grappling and later trained under Marcello Montiero's bjjcoach association, earning his black belt in 2011. Currently a 3rd degree black belt, Hashem is the founder of Azer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
