Born in 1998 in Rolim de Moura, Rondônia, Jeferson Guaresi came to jiu-jitsu at age 11 after a childhood playing state-level football as a goalkeeper. Under Rafael Godoi, he was pushed to commit to the sport professionally after a poor 2015 Brazilian Nationals showing, leading him to move to São Paulo and join Cicero Costha’s PSLPB talent factory.
