## Bio

Eldest son of Carlos Gracie Jr. and a Gracie Barra lifer, Kayron Gracie came up under Marcio Feitosa’s daily instruction while surfing remained his first love. He won the Brasileiro as a junior yellow belt and later earned his black belt from his father in October 2009. His toughest moment came at the 2008 World Championship: after winning his weight class, he fought the open weight absolute on fumes, vomiting outside the arena following one match before losing to Joao Assis. He has since served as a long-time Gracie Barra coach in the United States.
