## Bio

A product of Alliance’s deep talent pipeline, Lucas Gualberto climbed from a social project in Parnaíba to the black belt ranks under Isaque Bahiense and Gabriel Figueiró at Dream Art. Football and capoeira preceded his late start in jiu-jitsu at age ten under coach Weverton “Babu” Fonseca, but a paid registration and peer pressure pushed him into competition, where he discovered a winning mentality. After standout juvenile and adult blue belt runs, he chose Alliance Matriz over Team Lloyd Irvin, training under Fábio Gurgel and Michael Langhi before stints with Mario Reis in Porto Alegre and finally Dream Art.
