# Max Carvalho ("Max")

> Black Belt 4 Stripes

## Overview

**Name:** Max Carvalho

**Nickname:** Max

**Belt Rank:** Black Belt 4 Stripes

**Date of Birth:** July 26, 1979 (age 47)

## Bio

Sent from Recife to Budapest in 2004 as Zé Radiola’s handpicked emissary, Max Carvalho planted the Radiola flag in Hungary and quietly built an affiliate network stretching from Austria to Cyprus. A black belt under Radiola since November 2007, Carvalho never competed at the elite level himself but earned his reputation through the consistency and results of his athletes across Europe. His game, shaped in the Northeast Brazilian grind, translates into a teaching style that prizes fundamentals over flash — a reflection of the coach who trusted him to export the system.
