## Bio

Pedro Elias, known as "Chupeta," emerged from the same Adriano Carvalho pipeline that produced the Miyao brothers, later following Leandro Lo to New School Brotherhood when Lo split from Cicero Costha in September 2015. A São Paulo native who started judo at 14 for self-defense against bullying before switching to jiu-jitsu in 2010, Elias trained with the heavier weight class under Lo, who awarded his purple and brown belts. After Lo stepped back from NSB in late 2018, Augusto Ferrari promoted Elias to black belt on November 27 that year.
