## Bio

Robert Diggle emerged from the Renzo Gracie Academy orbit under John Danaher, trading a philosophy Ph.D. track for a career built on leg-lock mechanics and positional entanglement. A product of Long Island, he wrestled through tenth grade until a broken clavicle redirected him, then found BJJ through Chris Schlesinger and Milton Regis before landing at Vitor Shaolin’s Manhattan academy. The influence of Masakazu Imanari’s creative lower-limb attacks and Eddie Cummings’s systematic approach sharpened Diggle’s game inside Danaher’s room. He received his black belt from Brandon Bennett in August 2021, remaining in New York while much of the Danaher crew relocated to Puerto Rico.
