## Bio

A key figure in the Minas Gerais jiu-jitsu scene, Tiago Rocha transitioned from karate and kung fu as a teenager before his cousin introduced him to the sport in Uberlândia. His foundation was built under Elan Santiago, training alongside future standouts like Lucas Lepri and Gabriel Goulart. After Santiago’s departure, Rocha, then a brown belt, helped lead the group, first affiliating with Fernando Terere’s TT team and later joining Alliance under Fábio Gurgel, who promoted him to black belt in November 2009.
