## Overview

**Name:** Uanderson Ferreira

**Date of Birth:** January 10, 2001 (age 25)

## Bio

A teenage prodigy from the Rio favela of Morro do São João, Uanderson Ferreira was fast-tracked into the professional ranks by the AJP’s unique promotion rule. Winning the Abu Dhabi World Pro as a brown belt in November 2021 forced him to compete against black belts while still holding colored rank, an anomaly that saw him tally significant wins before his official black belt promotion from Marcio Ferreira in February 2023. A product of the Commando Group in the UAE under Thiago Barreto and Bruno Barreto, his game was forged in the AJP circuit’s points-heavy, grip-fighting meta.
