## Bio

Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1974, Vinicius Canevari began his jiu-jitsu career in 1989 under Cláudio França at the historic Clube Barra de Jiu Jitsu, training alongside Joe Moreira and Marcos Vinicius de Lucia before moving to Brigadeiro under Eduardo Venâncio as a purple belt. Relocating to Londrina, Paraná in 1996 to work as an airline pilot, he opened his own academy to keep his techniques sharp in a region where jiu-jitsu was not yet established, earning his black belt from Master Brigadeiro in 1999. His team, Magoo Jiu Jitsu, grew into one of the strongest in southern Brazil, and he also competed in MMA, securing a submission win at Shooto Brazil in 2005, while eventually grading over 30 black belts of his own.
