## Overview

**Name:** Windson Torres

**Date of Birth:** May 17, 2000 (age 26)

## Bio

A former judo standout who transitioned to jiu-jitsu after turning 16, Windson Torres built his game around the newaza skills he sharpened under Jackson Oliveira at a Checkmat-affiliated gym in Formosa, Goiás. After the pandemic, he dropped judo entirely to focus on competing, and his 2024 brown belt campaign earned him a black belt promotion on June 5, 2024, from Oliveira—the same coach who had promoted him through every belt.
