# AJJC 2026 - Australian Jiu Jitsu Championship > Competition in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia | August 13, 2026 – August 16, 2026 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** The 2026 AJJC is a**6 STAR**event with huge National Ranking Points - 54 Gold, 18 Silver, 6 Bronze. The 2026 AJJC (Australian National Championship) has run each year since 1996. Opportunities to become a 2026 AJJC (Austr**alian National Champion) are:** **NEW JUNIOR NOGI** **Junior Boys Gi, Junior Boys Nogi, Junior Girls Gi, Junior Girls Nogi, Male Juvenile Gi, Male**Juvenile Nogi, Female Juvenile Gi, Female Juvenile Nogi, Male Gi, Male Nogi, Female Gi. Female Nogi. Male Absolute Gi, Male Absolute Nogi, Female Absolute Gi, Female Absolute Nogi. Early bird entries close at Monday Midnight on the 27th of July - Late and final entries (at a slightly higher fee) close at Monday Midnight the 10th of August.**(PLEASE NOTE FINAL REGISTRATIONS CLOSE ONE DAY EARLIER ALLOWING FOR A 3 DAY EVENT THIS YEAR!** Last chance to change yourself out of a single fighter category to a different age and or different weight is Tuesday midnight on the 11th of August. A full 100% refund is available before registrations close at Monday midnight the 10th of August. A full 100% refund remains available until the end of Check and Change day at Tuesday midnight the 11th of August. No Refunds are available after midnight on Tuesday the 11th of August. This applies also to competitors who have opponents withdraw on the day leaving them in a single fighter category. It is now 100% the responsibility of all competitors to move themselves from a single fighter category to a legal populated category.**THIS INCLUDES JUNIORS AND JUVENILES.** **ADULTS -**canonly go up in weight **MASTERS -**can go up in weight or down in age as far as the Adult categories. **JUVENILES -**can only move up in age from Juvenile 1 to Juvenile 2 and or up in weight. **JUNIORS**- Can only move up in age and or weight and are not allowed in the Juvenile categories. Competitors can not change belt categories. Competitors can only register once in each division i.e. Once in Gi and once in Nogi. Changes can be made by the competitor online through the registration in the 24 hours of "Check and Change Day" - Tuesday 11th August. If a competitor requires assistance with the change they must email [info@AFBJJ.com](http://AFBJJ.com) with all details including Full Name and exact category to be moved to. This email must be received before the end of "Check and Change Day" - midnight 11th August An extra mat where and when possible will be available at the event for all first round losers. Those concerned must go to the mat coordinator for this mat and register their interest to participate. Note: Considering the National and International rules, the results from this mat will not form part of the event results or rankings. Participants can only be those with an original registration in the AJJC 2026. Possible match ups need to be approved by a parent or guardian. NOTE: THE CONSOLATION FIGHT MAT WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE IF TIMING ALLOWS - EXCESSIVE JUNIOR NUMBERS MAY NOT ALLOW FOR THIS.
