DNA Jiu-Jitsu School is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in Curitiba, Paraná, founded in 2015 by Professor João Raphael Vasconcellos, known as "Raphael Simpson." The academy offers comprehensive BJJ training for men, women, and children of all skill levels.
Professor Simpson received his black belt in 2004 from Gustavo Muggiati (Gutty) and is a 2001 World Jiu-Jitsu Champion. After earning his black belt, he led training at Gracie Curitiba academy until 2007, then focused on preparing MMA athletes, including Pride and UFC champion Maurício "Shogun" Rua. In 2010, he moved to the United States, teaching at Gracie Barra Orlando and later in Minneapolis. He returned to Curitiba in 2013 and established DNA Jiu-Jitsu School two years later.
With over 20 years of experience, Professor Simpson brings world-class instruction and a proven competition pedigree to DNA Jiu-Jitsu School. The academy emphasizes technical excellence, discipline, and personal growth through the practice of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, serving the Curitiba community with programs for all ages and skill levels.
