If you are looking for a fun and interesting way to expose your kids to Jiu-Jitsu, Train With Your Kids is a perfect place to start. Sometimes children can shy away from trying activities for reasons that aren’t even related to the activity itself. It can be difficult for a child to enter into a group class where there are a lot of other children. To add to it, it’s easy to see if people have more experience just by the color of their belt!

Joel Bouhey combines essential skills with fun and unique games that enhance all aspects of Jiu-Jitsu for your child. The idea behind Train With Your Kids is to approach the learning process in a creative way. Many kids respond well to guided learning. Guided learning is the process of letting your child discover concepts through exploration within the structure that you set up. This can be tricky. Joel takes out the guesswork by providing numerous games and drills to fine-tune your child’s skills!

Your kid will fall in love with each game while at the same time they gain Jiu-Jitsu themed skills like passing the guard and securing the mount. Games like ‘Hug Master Jr’ teach vital concepts like closing the distance, all under the guise of being goofy and looking to secure a hug! While you have intervals between rounds, it’s a great time to reinforce some of the Jiu-Jitsu aspects that you are trying to teach.

Joel makes sure that you know what the goals of each game are. He also demonstrates ways to mix the activity up to keep it fresh and entertaining for your child. Of course, safety is always the most important factor so Joel goes in-depth on how to keep your child safe throughout the Jiu-Jitsu based games.

Train With Your Kids is a great way to engage with your child while at the same time sharpening their Jiu-Jitsu. Whether they are somewhat experienced or brand new, use Joel's tips to get the most out of training with your kids!
