In this BJJ️🥋 video we wil show you a smooth transition to Dela Riva guard when your opponent stands up in the closed guard.

Once you master the transition from closed guard to Dela Riva guard you can start building your DLR guard game. This video shows you the basic sit up sweep and a nice variation when your opponent breaks your initial grip.

Don't forget to watch all the other closed guard series were we show you more setups to submissions, sweeps and combinations of both to start sweeping and tapping your opponents. 👊

If you have any questions please leave them in the comments. 🙏

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
