Closed guard attacks // Armbar and Pendulum sweep to armbar

Closed guard attacks // Armbar and Pendulum sweep to armbar

From Evolve Movement & Health

April 24, 2021

In this BJJ️🥋 video we take a look at a few attacks when your opponent is about to stand up from closed guard.

When you have a sleeve grip you can spin to an armbar straight away or attack the pendulum sweep to again catch an armbar. In the end of the video a basic drill to get the quick armbar motion going.

Don't forget to watch all the other closed guard series were we show you more setups to submissions, sweeps and combinations of both to start sweeping and tapping your opponents. 👊

If you have any questions please leave them in the comments. 🙏

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
