Gracie Gift: Legit or BS

Is the Gracie gift a terrible idea? Are you going to get triangled if you attempt to pass the guard this way? Is it useful only against people who don't know Jiu-Jitsu?

In this video I go over the popular Gracie gift technique and will show you some details to use it even against a trained Jiu-Jitsu person without getting triangled.
