Spider Guard Lasso Solo Drill

From Silanoe Martial Arts

April 21, 2020

Spider Guard Lasso Solo Drill. This specific Jiu-Jitsu exercise will help train your Spider Guard. By placing both feet on the sleeves from an inside position and then switching one to the outside of the sleeve position it mimics the transition going from double spider hooks to lasso and spider hook which is a natural flow in a sparring match utilizing the BJJ Spider Guard. For this specific solo drill a Gi jacket is needed. Set the timer for 1:30 min and see how many repetitions you can do. Note: always practice under supervision.

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
