## Bio

Kieran Davern is an Irish black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, representing his own academy, T-Town Jiu-Jitsu, under the Checkmat banner. Originally from County Tipperary, Davern began his BJJ journey in his late teens. He later moved to Dublin to advance his training under Darragh O'Conaill at East Coast Jiu-Jitsu. Davern was promoted to black belt by the legendary Leonardo "Leozinho" Vieira in December 2020.

Since earning his black belt, Davern has established himself as one of the top competitors in the middle-heavyweight division. His major achievements include winning gold at the IBJJF European Open (2023), the IBJJF European No-Gi Open (2022), and the AJP Abu Dhabi World Pro (2022). He has also consistently reached the podium at the sport's most prestigious tournaments, securing a silver medal at the IBJJF World Championship in 2023 and a bronze in 2022, as well as a silver medal at the 2023 Pan Championship.
