Nobuhiro Sawada traded a childhood in karate and table tennis for the mats at 18, joining Mitsuyoshi Hayakawa’s Tri-Force Academy and rising as a standout in Japanese grappling. A fan of PRIDE FC’s grapplers, he quit his government office job in April 2017 to pursue jiu-jitsu full-time, earning his black belt from Hayakawa just two months later.
