The academy is part of the global DMJJB network, following the teachings and philosophy of Demian Maia, one of the most accomplished grapplers in MMA history. Demian Maia is a legendary black belt with an extraordinary competitive record, including ADCC World Champion (2007), IBJJF World Champion, and multiple-time Pan American and Brazilian National Champion. His BJJ career is matched by his illustrious MMA achievements, including 14+ years competing at the highest level in the UFC, where he holds records for most UFC wins by a Brazilian fighter and second-most submissions in UFC history. Known for his technical mastery and signature "Maia-Leão" submission technique, Demian earned his black belt in just 4 years and 7 months—an extraordinary feat in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Bahia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy

Tundra Jiu-Jitsu (formerly known as Bahia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy) is a professional BJJ academy in Espoo, Finland, offering expert coaching in an inspiring and welcoming environment. The gym provides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training every day with multiple classes available for all skill levels, schedules, and age groups. Head coach Francisco Bahia leads training sessions with an authentic Brazilian approach, bringing passion and expertise to every class. Francisco began training jiu-jitsu in 2009 at age 16 and received his black belt in Brazil in 2019. He lives jiu-jitsu professionally - teaching group classes, private lessons, seminars, and competing. His mission is to help others discover what he has found in jiu-jitsu. The coaching team also includes Milla Bahia, who received her black belt in 2019 and is a Masters World Champion, three-time European Champion, and one of the first women in Finland to achieve a black belt. She trains annually in Brazil and competes actively. Sakari Miettinen, who earned his black belt in 2023, has been involved in martial arts since 1992 and brings extensive experience and enthusiasm to his teaching. Tundra Jiu-Jitsu offers comprehensive programs including fundamentals classes, advanced training, no-gi grappling, competition preparation, women's-only classes, and children's BJJ for ages 7-13. The academy provides a clean, organized, and safe training environment where everyone can feel part of the jiu-jitsu family.

10th Planet Joensuu, Finland

10th Planet Joensuu is the second official 10th planet affiliate in Finland focusing purely in jiu jitsu and submission grappling. The gym is located in the heart of Joensuu in the eastern Finland. The gym is owned by the city and it offers training place for several martial arts clubs. Gym has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere to help students find the beauty of technical jiu jitsu. Veteran students are dedicated to help new people to fit in. 10th Planet Joensuu offers training environment for the competitors and anyone willing to learn the art of jiu jitsu / submission grappling. The Head instructor of 10thPlanet Joensuu is Niko Rotko with several years of grappling experience. During that time Niko has been travelling around the world visiting several 10th planet locations. Niko has been an active competitor since white belt and has competed under different rulesets of the grappling / jiu jitsu. As a physiotherapist, Niko is fascinated by the technical and biomechanical perfection and beauty in jiu jitsu. Niko teaches under guidance of his master Lauri Karppinen who is currently the only 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu black belt in Finland.

10th Planet Tampere / MMA Team 300 is the first and only 10th Planet affiliate in Finland. The gym is located in the heart of Tampere and provides training for a variety of combat sports including 10th Planet jiu jitsu, MMA and thaiboxing. The gym was founded by a group of enthusiastic 10th Planet ronins. The amateur and professional MMA / jiu jitsu fighters of the gym are known for their highly technical jiu jitsu skills and eagerness to finish fights by submissions. 10th Planet Tampere offers everyone a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to develop technical skills as well as physical conditioning. BJJ Vaasa - Hilti BJJ

BJJ Vaasa is a combat sports club founded in July 2008 to promote the recreational and competitive activities of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and submission wrestling in Vaasa, Finland. The gym is a member of the Finnish Brazilian Jiujitsu Federation (SBJJ) and the ADCC Finland Submission Wrestling Federation, providing a structured and professional training environment for practitioners of all levels. As a proud member of the Scandinavian Hilti Brazilian Jiujitsu organization, BJJ Vaasa is part of an international network of high-quality BJJ academies. The gym offers training in both Gi (traditional kimono) and No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, as well as submission wrestling. The training emphasizes leverage-based techniques including joint locks, chokes, sweeps, and throws, with a focus on both recreational fitness and competitive preparation. The gym is led by head instructor Petri Mäki, a 3rd degree black belt with extensive experience in both Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and submission wrestling. The instruction team includes multiple black belts (Tommy Vähänen - 1st degree, Olli Kapiainen, and Toni Sorvari) as well as brown belt Jaakko Töyli, ensuring students receive expert guidance across all skill levels from foundations to competition preparation.
